Fat?

People keep saying i'm skinny, yet my family calls me fat(or at least one person). But why does it even matter? It's not like i'm going to die if I don't care about my looks enough to do more exercise. So I don't like sports enough, like some people are convinced, everyone else in the world does. Why does it even matter what we look like? It's not going to change how we live our lives, because if I really want to do something I will.

The media and celebrities define "beauty" and the mindless rest of society tries to imitate seeking popularity.
If someone wants to go on a diet, it isn't bad. If someone wants to look pretty, it is also ok.
When someone wants to be skinny because she is insecure, it isn't right.

Maybe, you're parents just want you to exercise because exercising helps the body (obviously). But then again, I don't know you're family well enough to be sure.
